15 October Hugh played Janacek's Mladi with a group that had performed it 5 years ago.

14th October HUgh played the R. Sugar Frammenti Musicali sextet at a join concert OCMCUCL that he co-organized. It was his performance high point for the year.

12th October Hugh sponsored a bassoon quartet concert at Burgh House by "Reed Rage", including European premiere of "Polar Bears" by W. Gernot which he had co-commissioned.

12-19 Sept Hugh and Rowena sang Renaissance music with a small group at La Maison Verte in Roujan, France

2 - 13 August Rowena and Hugh took part in the Bennington Chamber Music Conference in Vermont

27 July-1 August Hugh and Rowena sang in the Western Wind small group choral workshop at Smith College

19 July HUgh played with the Angel Orchestra in Beethvoven's 7th, Milhaud Chamber Symphony, Ravel's Tombeau de Couperin

July 11 Hugh played in Oxford &Cambridge's "HaydnFest" concert two of Haydn's Harmoniemusik pieces arranged by Derek Smith

24 June Hugh played the Vivaldi A minor trio for recorder, bassoon and continuo at Oxford & Cambridge "New Parrtnerships" concert

June 20th Hugh and Rowena sang in Rachmaninoff's St John Chrystostom Liturgy at the Maldon festival

June 2 Hugh played Max Lenz' "Ein Komischer Herr" for bassoon and piano in a Hampstead Chamber Music concert

May 31 Hugh sang Palestrina's Magnificat primo toni, Vittoria and Holst's Nunc Dimitis with St Peter's singers in Vauxhall

May 23 Hugh and Rowena played our favorite Rosenmueller trio for a wedding near Torino, Italy.

May 5th Hugh played continuo in Bach's BWV56 for bartione and oboe olbl at Hampstead Music Club

April 18th Hugh organized another Oxford and Cambridge all-wind day, in which the high point was the W. Berger Serenade for 12 winds.

April 12-17 Hugh and Rowena sang in the Lacock Corsham one-on-a-part workshop, mainly Monteverdi and Byrd

March 4th Hugh played in the Oxford and Cambridge Musical Club concert in Richard Walthew's Triolet ( a reed trio)

March 3rd Hugh and Rowena played in the Hampstead Music Club concert, a Handel trio in G Minor, Rowena on violin, Hugh on bassoon, and the Mozart Flute quartet in C Rowena on viola

February 22nd Hugh and Rowena sang with the Queen's Park Singers in parts of Josquin's Missa Pange Lingua and Poulenc's Vinea mea electa

February 21st Hugh & Rowena participated in the Oxford & Cambridge Musical Club's 2000th concert, playing in Brahms' Academic Festival Overture, and singing Walton's Where does the Uttered Music Go?

January 17th Rowena took part in an all-day Cello workshop in Richmind

January 14th and 20th Hugh performed the William Hurlstone Trio for Cl, Bn, Piano in two separate concerts with different clarinet and piano players.

January 9-10 Hugh and Rowena took part in the Music Camp reunion, in Poulenc's Stabat Mater and Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky suite, Rowena singing soprano and Hugh on 2nd bassoon.

January 4th Hugh played wind sextets in Norwalk, CT featuring Seiber's Serenade

January 1-2 Hugh and Rowena played in the annual Zeke and Linda Hecker chamber music party in Brattleboro, VT

December 16th for the Hapstead Music Club Hugh and Rowena played in Corelli's Christmas Concerto viola (Rowena) and alto recorder (Hugh). We also did the same Schütz duo with Dulcie Conway

December 14th Hugh and Rowena took part in a partly acted-out Christmas Story by Heinrich Schütz at Queen's Park

Dec 13th Hugh played in the OCMC "Nothing too Serious" concert a dfouble reed piece "Fanfare for the Common Mandrell" byStacy Willer and Lewin's reed trio "Scherzola"

Dec 10 and 19 Hugh sang in carol services in St James Piccadilly with Collegium Musicum

Dec12th Hugh and Rowena sang in the Emmanuel Church's last Alyson Denza concert. Rowena also sang 2nd Soprano solo in a Schütz duo with Dulcie Conway, and Hugh played a Castil-Blaze bassoon trio with the "Blasé Basson Trio" . And we performed the Rosenmüller trio for violin (Rowena) and Bassoon, too.

November 29th Hugh sang with Collegium Musicum an all-Magnificat concert, whose high points were the C.V. Stanford, the Victoria, and the Eric Swayne

November 14th Hugh played with the Northern Quintet for the 4-5-yr-olds at the Rainbow Nursery School. They liked "LIbert Bell" best of all.

Nov 8th Hugh played in Midsummer Opera (!) production of Aida, his first and probably last experience of Grand Opera.
